On day one, 366 days seemed like such a long time away. Around day 26 (and many other times after that) I didn’t think I could do this project and was so overwhelmed by the task. A couple of months into it and I really started to enjoy it. A couple of months before the end and I wondered what I’d do afterwards. A couple of weeks to the finish line and I thought I wouldn’t want to carry on. Now, the last day and I’m not sure I want to stop.
So, I’m not going to, I’m going to keep posting, but just not every day. I think that as much as this project has really given me the opportunity to think more of what to take photos of and to actually have my camera with me, my quality of photos have at times been compromised due to the time constraints. And that is what is really important for me to perfect, the quality, and techniques.
The thing that has really surprised over the year is you, the people who have followed me, the people who have taken the time to look at my photos and like them and make a comment. I have really enjoyed sharing my and your photos and it would not be right to end this without a thank you for your support, encouragement and inspiration.
I might take a little break from posting for a while to work out what my next steps will be, but it won’t be for long. I hope you won’t give up on me and will still enjoy what I post when I come back.
Ps… yes, that’s me in the photo.

Splendid!
Thank you
Great image, and congratulations on reaching the year!
Thank you & thanks for you support over the year
…the last photo of this project…and it is probably my favorite

…great accomplishment Roo…always look forward to the daily post… Now it will just be more of a surprise when the post arrives…when it arrives
…keep up your journey…I’m always around to appreciate the your photos and your words about them.
Crush
Hey Crush. I had been wracking my brains most of the day thinking that just a photo of a london bus or something london-like wasn’t good enough to end on, and then 3hrs before needing to be at the airport this idea hit me. Had to get back to hotel to pick up my tripod & tried Hyde Park first even though I knew it wasn’t the back drop I wanted. So then with 1.5 hrs to go I went to the spot I wanted & took about 35 photos in between waiting for big enough breaks between pedestrians walking past. Think I’m happy with it…
… I really must thank you most of all, for your support over the year & I’ll try not to leave it too long between posts so you don’t get withdrawal symptoms!
Will keep track of your posts too!
Roo
….be very happy with that last photo indeed! You couldn’t have ended with a better photo…or phrase– wicked!!
Like I said…I truly hope you carry on now and then….I’m not always vocal, but I do view every one of you posts– they really are great. And yes…withdrawal will sink in soon…so don’t wait too long.!!!!!! 😉
Glad you’ll be around to continue to see what happens with crush…who knows…we’ll see. 😀
Nice dreamlike shot. Concrats on the achievement
Thanks a lot & for looking, liking and commenting
Have a well earned rest…and I look forward to when you next blog. Intriguing photo – looks like you are walking towards and away from the camera at the same time! Great photo.
It feels weird not posting every day but I think the rest will do me good. Thanks for all your kind words through my posts. Am glad you liked my last photo
Congratulations on finishing the project.
Looking forward to the next step
Thank you, at times I didn’t think I’d get here, but I did. Am working on it!
Thanks for the year of photos, I’ve enjoyed looking at them. Looking forward to future posts
Thank you more, for looking at them. That’s a very nice thing to say Diane, sorry some were a bit random! Yeah, gotta work out what I’m gonna do.
Great photo Roo – I love the whole concept too! Congrats on finishing… I understand what you mean by not wanting to compromise the quality of your work, hence why I am so far behind on mine, but only a few to go so I will get there.
Hope you get really inspired now the pressure is off, and to see more from you soon.
Thanks Ian, am glad you liked it! You’re photos are very inspirational so please take you’re time, especially if you haven’t decided what to do once you’re finished. As I’ve said before, I’ll really miss your photos if you stop completely.
Wow, excellent photo xx
